Selectman, David Wilson, Trumbull's New Covered Bridge

This is the first covered bridge built in Connecticut in one hundred years. Built at the entrance to Twin Brooks Park, it commemorates Trumbull's Bicentennial. The bridge is one of only twelve covered bridges with two way traffic in the United States. It was built by the Trumbull Department of Public Works after studying many covered bridges from throughout the Northeast. Trumbull's eyecatching bridge really highlights Twin Brooks Park and is a new treasure in the town.
